Understanding Google Analytics

Google Analytics is already set up on your website. Here’s what it tells you and why it matters.

▶ Watch: Google Analytics (4 min)

What Google Analytics Tells You

  • How many visitors your website gets
  • Where your visitors come from (Google, Facebook, direct, etc.)
  • Which pages they visit the most
  • How long they stay on your site
  • What devices they use (phone, tablet, desktop)

Why This Matters

  • See what’s working and what’s not
  • Find problems with your site (pages with high bounce rates, etc.)
  • Track your growth over time
  • Make smart decisions about where to focus your marketing efforts

How to Access Your Analytics

Click the “View Google Analytics” button on your Dealer Dashboard. Analytics is already set up and connected to your website. There’s no need to install anything or create a separate account.

Quick Tips

  • Check your analytics at least once a month
  • Look for trends over time rather than day-to-day changes
  • Spike in traffic after a social media post? Do more of that
  • High traffic but low form submissions? Your call-to-action might need work
